The Digital Healthcare Community at the Jantina Tammes School (JTS) is an interdisciplinary network dedicated to exploring the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. Part of the University of Groningen's hub for digital society, technology, and AI, this community unites researchers, educators, and societal partners to address the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of AI and medical sciences.
Guided by a commitment to collaboration and innovation, the community fosters cutting-edge research, knowledge exchange, and talent development through seminars, workshops, and joint initiatives. The diverse expertise within JTS enables the community to tackle complex healthcare issues, from prevention, diagnostics, and drug discovery to personalised medicine.
Led by Theme Coordinator Peter van Ooijen, the community envisions transforming AI in healthcare to improve patient outcomes and societal well-being. With an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, the Digital Healthcare Community aims to redefine the future of healthcare by building a vibrant community.
