Studying coenzyme A biosynthesis

I am fascinated by cellular biochemistry. My main expertise is the metabolism of vitamin B5 in cells. I study coenzyme A (CoA) biosynthesis from vitamin B5 in yeast. I also use cell models with defects in CoA biosynthesis to study rare CoA related diseases, such as Pantothenate Kinase-Associated Neurodegeneration (PKAN).
