My research focuses on promoting active lifestyles and prevention across different settings, such as hospital stays or at home. Expertise in exercise capacity and the use of measurement sensors makes it possible to objectively monitor movement behaviour. Supporting an active lifestyle can improve health outcomes, wellbeing, and quality of life. I obtained my PhD in wheelchair-specific exercise capacity testing in athletes, and during my postdoctoral research translated these insights to the broader population of wheelchair users. Building on this foundation, my current work continues to bridge science and practice to help people live healthier, more active lives.
