Personalized acute medicine

My main interest is to develop personalized medicine for patients with sepsis by improving early recognition at the emergency department and developing tailored and targeted treatment strategies. To learn from individual differences between acutely ill patients, we collect clinical data, and biomaterials from thousands of acutely ill patients per year in the Acutelines data-biobank. We identify features predictive of response to therapy and translate these to discover drugable targets to prevent organ injury and death in pre-clinical models of sepsis.
