Trained in medicine and epidemiology, I like to study complex medical issues. Through research I hope to support healthcare professionals in their daily practice. Appropriate use of medication is a typical complex topic in the care for older people. Within our network with long-term care organisations (UNO-UMCG) we research this topic, using real world data. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for research and quantitative methods with medical students, physicians, other healthcare professionals, and whoever is interested.
