Digital Healthcare Community

The Digital Healthcare Community is an interdisciplinary network dedicated to exploring the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in healthcare. The community brings together researchers, educators and societal partners from across disciplines to address challenges and opportunities at the intersection of digital technology, artificial intelligence and medical sciences.

Through collaboration and knowledge exchange, the community aims to foster innovative research, interdisciplinary connections and talent development. Activities include seminars, workshops, community meetings and joint initiatives. By bringing together expertise from different scientific and clinical domains, the community addresses a broad range of healthcare challenges, including prevention, diagnostics, treatment, personalised medicine and the implementation of digital health innovations.

Led by Theme Coordinator Peter van Ooijen, the Digital Healthcare Community aims to strengthen collaboration around digital healthcare within the UMCG and University of Groningen and to contribute to the responsible development and implementation of digital technologies that improve healthcare and patient outcomes.
