Postdoctoral researcher

As a postdoctoral researcher, I focus on exercise capacity and biomechanics in wheelchair users in (Paralympic) sports and in rehabilitation. I developed a test battery to measure the wheelchair-specific (an)aerobic exercise capacity. Results were used to improve wheelchair performance, adjust wheelchair mechanics, and guide training. My current research explores enhancing wheelchair training so that users can improve their physical capacity.
