Project Manager Profile
Project Manager

Enabling impactful research

My main motivation is to help researchers and their ideas reach their maximum impact in society. Therefore, I aim to specialize on proposals and project at the interface of science and business, in which different academic and industry parties synergize to create social impact and valorization. As a project manager, I am curious, adaptable, and always up for a new challenge. In my work supporting researchers, I enjoy becoming part of their team and thinking along to find the best solutions to the wide array of details needed for the smooth execution of the project. Furthermore, I simplify the logistic work related to setting up, planning, and monitoring complex research projects throughout the pre- and post-award phases. I hold a PhD in molecular genetics of metabolic diseases from the University of Groningen and I have gained project management experience while working in the commercial and regulatory areas in biotech and pharma. My diverse background, covering fundamental academic research as well as industry experience, allows me to provide researchers with very versatile support and proactively contribute to the successful implementation of their research ideas.
