My research focuses on optimizing community health services in the Northern Netherlands to reduce reliance on formal healthcare and ease the growing pressure on the healthcare system caused by population ageing and workforce shortages. To do so, I am investigating public awareness of these services and the factors influencing people’s decisions to use or not use them, aiming to uncover regional disparities and supply-side challenges.

Ultimately, my goals is to translate these insights to support policy development for a sustainable healthcare system.
