Nuclear physics and radiotherapy

 The direct application of nuclear physics to radiotherapy allows for the continuing development of treatment methods in the fight against cancer as well as furthering our understanding of nuclear physics and the power of the strong force. It is for these reasons that I chose to help with improving certain methods of radiotherapy and cancer diagnostics through medicinal experimental physics, as part of my PhD project.
