Movement development and learning in children

My research expertise is motor development and learning in children, particularly those with movement disorders such as Developmental Coordination Disorder. I study how individual, environmental, and task-related factors influence children’s motor learning and participation in everyday activities. Using a systems-based approach, I develop and evaluate targeted interventions to help children—regardless of ability—develop the movement skills they need to participate fully and stay active and healthy.
