Drafting in long-track speed skating

 Drafting, or slipstreaming, is the focus of my research. Together with Dr. Stein Menting, Prof. Dr. Florentina Hettinga, and Dr. Marije Elferink-Gemser, we investigate how drafting can be optimized to improve (team) performance, training strategies, and overall race efficiency. Ensuring that the research is practically applicable is highly important, so it can be directly implemented by athletes and coaches on the ice.
