Tamool Abdulhamid Saad Muhamed is an interdisciplinary Public Health researcher and Health Economist focusing on maternal and neonatal health, women’s health and socioeconomic inequalities. She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Groningen in collaboration with the University Medical Center Groningen, where she analyses large-scale linked datasets on perinatal care, healthcare use and population statistics. Her work combines epidemiology, econometrics and health-economic evaluation, including methods such as regression modelling, causal inference approaches and cost analyses. Thematically, her projects span childbirth experiences, postpartum health and healthcare costs, and the implementation of tobacco-control and preventive health policies. Across these areas, she aims to generate policy-relevant, data-driven evidence to support more equitable and effective health systems.
