My fascination lies in how our brain’s immune cells remember. Microglia, once considered passive, are now recognized as key players in neurological health and disease - from multiple sclerosis to Alzheimer’s. Through transcriptomics, epigenomics, and stem-cell-based models, I aim to uncover how microglia store ‘memories’ of inflammation and injury, and how these shape neurodegeneration and recovery. My work is driven by curiosity, shaped by international collaboration, and grounded in a belief that understanding microglial memory can lead to meaningful therapeutic change.
