Translational research for personalised psychiatric care

I am a PhD student in the Psychedelic Therapy & Mechanisms group, with a background in Biotechnology and Molecular and Clinical Neuroscience. My research focuses on the neuroplastic and immuno-modulatory effects of conventional and novel antidepressants, particularly ketamine. By examining the molecular underpinnings of these treatments, I aim to contribute to the advancement of personalized medicine in psychiatric care.
Using translational approaches, I seek to integrate findings from preclinical research and clinical studies, fostering a deeper understanding of therapeutic mechanisms and their potential application to mental health treatments. My work is dedicated to exploring how these interventions modulate biomarkers and pathways associated with psychiatric disorders, with the goal of informing the development of more precise and effective treatments.
