As clinical epidemiologist/methodologist and biomedical scientist, I focus on clinical and translational research in rheumatic (auto)immune diseases. My work centers on understanding disease activity, long-term outcomes, and the effects of treatments, with the ultimate goal of optimizing patient care and improving quality of life. My research expertise includes clinimetric studies in cohorts and trials, development and validation of patient-reported outcome measures, evaluation of treatment strategies, lifestyle factors, imaging techniques and research into bone metabolism. I serve as the cohort manager of the ImmunoLines Biobank and actively facilitate collaborative research networks to advance the field of rheumatic (auto)immune diseases. Furthermore, I am dedicated to education, supervising PhD students and scientific internships, and teaching as UTQ-certified science facilitator in medicine.
