News
The UMCG Board of Directors has given final approval to Rehablines; the database of healthcare data that can be used for research within the UMCG Centre for Rehabilitation.

This means Rehablines can start including patients for research into rehabilitation and rehabilitation treatment. With Rehablines, a solid foundation is laid for structural, scientific research within the rehabilitation field.

Goals of Rehablines

Rehablines aims to further improve rehabilitation care through scientific research and education. The Rehablines database will contain all of the data that is collected during a patient's care and can be used for scientific research and education. The patient's consent plays an important part in this. Rehablines is in line with the positioning of the UMCG as an academic knowledge centre and will contribute to improving the quality of rehabilitation treatment. Insights and results, gained from Rehablines, will be made available to both internal and external stakeholders including practitioners, patients and health insurers and government.

Practitioners, patients and researchers

Rehablines partly depends on practitioners in the Centre for Rehabilitation (CVR). Therefore, Rehablines will actively approach practitioners to introduce Rehablines and explain the importance of the right way of recording and measuring data.

All patients receiving treatment at the CvR will be asked if their (pseudonymised) patient data may be used. Information for patients can be found on the Rehablines patient page: Rehablines: databank voor onderzoek naar en verbetering van revalidatiezorg (umcg.nl).

Researchers who are interested in Rehablines or Rehablines data can visit: Rehablines (umcgresearch.org)
