Healthy Biological Ageing: Research to a better ageing

I study how multimorbidity, physical activity, lifestyle behaviours, and environmental exposures shape biological ageing and frailty trajectories. This research matters because earlier risk detection can support healthier ageing and reduce health inequities. Using an epidemiological perspective, I analyse population-based data with advanced quantitative methods to generate evidence that can inform prevention strategies and improve long-term health outcomes. I am part of the Human Movement Sciences team at UMCG and contribute to the EnRICH-HABITS and BIO-COMPASS projects.
