Cultural Competence of maternity care professionals

 My research project investigates the competencies required of maternity care professionals to promote more responsive and equitable maternity care for pregnant women in low socioeconomic positions through the use of culturally competent practices. Studies examine women’s experiences of professional competencies and the extent to which midwifery education equips professionals to provide care that meets their needs and expectations.
