Bridging human models and pharmacology

I am fascinated by how human tissues respond to medicines within complex biological environments. My research currently focuses on placental pharmacology and the maternal–fetal interface, particularly the effects and disposition of biological medicines in human placental models. Building on my previous experience with organoid development and immune co-culture models, I am interested in integrating physiologically relevant human models with pharmacology, metabolomics and other molecular approaches. Ultimately, I hope to improve our understanding of drug behaviour during pregnancy and contribute to safer, better-informed pharmacotherapy for pregnant patients.
