Research Assistant Profile
Research Assistant

As a research assistant at the University Center Psychiatry, I coordinate and support a range of mental health research projects. My work focuses on organizing complex studies, solving practical challenges, and maintaining clear communication with colleagues and participants. I am BROK-certified, which reflects my commitment to conducting research in accordance with the highest standards of medical ethics and regulatory compliance. Particular strengths include data collection and organization-whether planning participant visits, conducting interviews, or managing study documentation, I approach each task with precision and structure.

In addition to my research experience, I have also worked as a psychologist in a clinical setting and for a non-profit organization. These roles have strengthened my communication skills and taught me to navigate diverse professional environments with ease.

Current contributions to ongoing projects include:

MARIO – Mood and Resilience in Offspring: A national study on resilience in children of parents with mental problems (KOPP). I coordinate the Groningen site of this project, which includes a cohort-, screening-, and intervention-study.

NESDA – Dutch Study of Depression and Anxiety: A long-term national study following a large group of participants with and without mood disorders for over two decades. I am involved in planning participant visits and conducting structured interviews.

iLab - The iLab aims to bring together patients, clinicians, and researchers to collaborate and share ideas, all with the goal of improving mental health care. My responsibilities include managing instrumentation and room scheduling.
