Decision makers worldwide are confronted with scarce resources to invest in healthcare. This is especially true in low- and middle-income countries, where healthcare decision makers are faced with demographic and epidemiological transitions, rising health expenditure and severe budget constraints. Prioritising on health related investments both inside and outside healthcare demands smarter decisions supported by value assessments in the local context. I hope to contribute to these smarter decisions working as a health-economist and epidemiologist in global health.
