Dr. Reinders investigates interprofessional identity and a systems approach to interprofessional collaboration. He published an interprofessional identity theory (extended professional identity theory) (EPIT) and the related extended professional identity scale (EPIS). EPIT-based interprofessional identity is studied in the Netherlands, Lithuania, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, USA, Turkey, India, and Indonesia among others.
