Rapid advancements in data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) call for a new generation of clinicians and (clinical) scientists, who are able to develop and introduce new prediction models and treatment strategies in healthcare. Therefore, the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) organises the new (online) Summer School ‘Data Science and AI in Health’ from 5 to 9 July, 2021.
A huge number of applications have come in and three students have been awarded an ENLIGHT European University scholarship for this summer school. ENLIGHT is a network of nine European universities wih the ambition to transform higher education and empower learners as globally engaged citizens.
During this week there will be several interesting lectures by, among others, Peter Van Ooijen, Dr Elena Sügis, Dr Els Maeckelberghe and Sunyi Zheng. Furthermore, the programme consists of assignments, with final presentations on Friday. Throughout the week, there will be online social activities. The educational program is planned from 12:00 untill 17:00 CEST. Visit the website for the full programme.
