Secretary, Staff member Body Donation Program

Since January 7th 2023, Fokje van der Weg has been part of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the UMCG. As a dedicated staff member of the Body Donation Program, she serves as the primary point of contact for all body donation–related inquiries. She oversees the program’s administration and coordinates the annual memorial service held in honor of body donors.

Beyond her responsibilities within the body donation program, she also works as the secretary for the Section of Anatomy and Medical Physiology. In this role, she provides essential support to the team, including managing the calendar of Dr. J.R. Georgiadis, processing employee timesheets, and carrying out a wide range of organizational and administrative duties.
