Dutch postpartum care from a scientific point of view

 My main research topic is home-based postpartum care (kraamzorg). This unique service is an important pillar of the Dutch maternity care system. However, little scientific evidence exists on the content and organization of home-based postpartum care. As a qualitative and quantitative researcher, my ambition is to gain more scientific knowledge on this service. By doing so, we can improve the care provided to mothers, newborns and families in the first days after birth.
