As a project manager, I really enjoy working with UMCG researchers to help develop and realize their ideas. Besides my work on different (EU) research projects and grant proposals at the Research BV, I am also active for the Innovation Center, where I work on the development and implementation of processes that help to facilitate innovation. With my background in International Relations, I have gained deep insight into EU policies, processes and funding schemes. I have used that knowledge in different fields, from Human Rights to the Medical sciences. With that interdisciplinary background, I bring a different perspective to the table, with a good understanding of what is needed to translate an abstract idea into a realistic plan, with tangible results.
