On 24 October, from 13:00 to 17:00, Academy Minerva in Groningen will host the ELSA Symposium. The event, organised by the ELSA AI Lab Northern Netherlands (ELSA-NN), promises to bring together experts, professionals and stakeholders to discuss the critical ethical, legal and societal issues surrounding AI in healthcare.

Under the theme ‘Responsible AI innovation is a joint effort’, the event will be held in Dutch and promises to be an inspiring and informative afternoon. The programme begins with a series of keynote speeches highlighting the challenges and opportunities in implementing AI in healthcare. These speeches highlight the need for responsible innovation and the importance of co-creation in developing AI technologies that benefit society.

Participants will also be updated on the latest developments within the ELSA AI Lab Northern Netherlands, including progress in the responsible development and application of AI in healthcare. After the presentations, the symposium offers interactive roundtable workshops and discussions, where participants can engage with colleagues, share insights and explore solutions together.

There will also be an information market where posters and exhibits from ELSA AI Lab Northern Netherlands and its consortium partners will be on display. This dynamic marketplace, together with networking drinks after the event, provides a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and contact with leading experts in the field.

Whether you are a healthcare professional, researcher, developer, policymaker or simply interested in the future of AI, this symposium offers valuable insights and a platform to join the conversation on responsible AI innovation.
