I am a PhD student in the Department of Human Movement Sciences, where my research focuses on backward walking as a synergy-specific gait training strategy for individuals with stroke. My project investigates muscle synergies during forward and backward walking in healthy adults and people with stroke, as well as the effects of aging on these patterns, to better understand their potential for gait assessment and individualized rehabilitation after stroke.
