Nephrology and Pharmacoepidemiology

 Mr. Changyuan (Leslie) Yang’s research focuses on prescribing patterns, effectiveness, and safety of novel drugs (e.g., SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 RA) in people with type 2 diabetes and kidney disease, with particular emphasis on older and frail adults. He also studies the epidemiology of acute kidney disease (AKD), with and without acute kidney injury. He integrates evidence from clinical trials and real-world data to generate actionable insights for clinical practice.
