This damage ranges from mild symptoms to severe, life-threatening conditions that require immediate treatment. Given the importance of both the effectiveness and safety of cancer therapies, this has led to in-depth research into methods for prevention, monitoring, and treatment of cardiovascular complications.
This thesis of Valentina Bracun consists of two parts. Part I focuses on the potential of heart-specific biomarkers for diagnosing, predicting, and treating cardiovascular complications in cancer patients. Part II explores new plasma biomarkers that offer diagnostic and prognostic value in both cardiology and oncology. These studies emphasize the crucial role of biomarkers in improving care for cancer patients with heart complications.
