Better-fitting hip implants for women

When a woman breaks her pelvis and is fitted with a standard implant (modelled after an average male body), it may not fit her well. This can cause poorer healing over time. The researchers emphasize that care should be more personalized, so that each implant will fit each individual as best as possible. Through work in the 3D-lab, they want to investigate how implants fit for other bones.
