The University Medical Center Groningen has decades of experience with longitudinal research.

Did you know that there are more than 175 cohorts and biobanks in the UMCG? Our commitment to collaboration, the close relationship between research and healthcare and the combination of population and clinical cohorts makes Groningen such a good place for cohort and biobank research.

Our cohorts are characterized by extensive data collection, deep phenotyping and long follow-up; even across generations. And all thanks to our loyal participants in the North of the Netherlands.

We bring together a community of researchers, clinicians and excellent infrastructure to drive new discoveries. Please visit UMCG cohorts and biobanks to find an overview of all cohorts and biobanks.
