ZonMW project grant for Inge Zijdewind group

ZonMW Project grant is awarded for Inge Zijdewind (“Post-exertional malaise, a starting point to study and understand ME/CFS”) in cooperation with Barbara Bakker, Sonja Ockenburg and Martijn Faassen.

The aim of this project is to understand how physical and cognitive exertion can worsen the symptoms of ME/CFS.

This project is a sub-study within the ME/CFS Lines consortium. More information about the consortium and other subprojects can be found on the project page of the ME/CFS Lines consortium.
​​​​​​​In the ME/CFS Lines consortium, UMCG is working with various research partners to build an ME/CFS cohort (patient group) and biobank based on the existing Lifelines population cohort.
