Catheleine van Driel and Wim Veling received half a million to study how a virtual reality (VR) app called VRelax can help people to relax, experience less stress, and sleep better.

The study will be conducted in patients with a depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder or anxiety disorder, who often find it hard to relax themselves. They can use the app at home, with VR-glasses, and choose from many relaxing natural environments and activities, varying from swimming with dolphins to lying on a beach or playing with stars in the sky.
