TiFN is a public-private partnership for multi- and interdisciplinary research in food and nutrition. In its systems approach scientists with different backgrounds closely collaborate, with many links between fundamental, applied and valorisation research projects.

We see a unique opportunity to collaborate with many organisations and institutions with competitors in a non-competive setting. Multinationals, SMEs and start-ups are working closely together in natural, economic, social and consumer sciences projects. Partners benefit from our home-grown governance structure, and project management tools that ensure effective working together.

What we do:

  • We guide the project from start to finish, based on previous learning, and continuously strives for effective ways of working.
  • We help project partners clearly define research targets and maximise synergy when valorising results.
  • We give workshops to ensure research questions are well-articulated and in line with the expectations of the partners involved.

We are a public-private partnership for multi- and interdisciplinary research in food and nutrition. In its systems approach scientists with different backgrounds closely collaborate, with many links between fundamental, applied and valorisation research projects.

Programmes are funded by both private and public sources, the latter using funding schemes deployed by the Topsector Agri & Food and others.
