Generic symptoms in Occupational healthcare

I am doing my PhD into the subject of Generic symptoms in occupational healthcare setting. Generic symptoms are subjective physical and mental features that occur across various diseases and share commonalities irrespective of diagnosis (e.g. fatigue, pain, sleep, mood disturbances). Generic symptoms are highly prevalent across a range of medical disciplines. Apart from fatigue and pain, generic symptoms have been scarcely studied , despite their recognized importance for quality of life and health outcomes (e.g. sickness absence). This is a challenging field for both researchers and clinicians in managing co-occurring symptoms.
