Hormones and the Female Brain

I am a PhD student in the group of Prof. Dr. Iris Sommer. My research investigates how hormonal fluctuations in women during the menstrual cycle and menopause influence the brain. Using neuroimaging techniques like PET and MRI, we investigate how changes in hormone levels influence brain structure and activity. By revealing the underlying mechanisms, we aim to enhance understanding and improve healthcare for women.
