My research focuses on the CEBPB gene and its transcription factor isoforms, C/EBPβ LAP and C/EBPβ LIP, and their role in regulating mitochondrial metabolism in cancer and ageing. In particular, I investigate how these isoforms control the malate–aspartate shuttle and its contribution to maintaining cellular NADH/NAD⁺ homeostasis.
