Improving radiotherapy outcomes for thoracic cancer

My main drive is to reduce the side effects of radiotherapy and improve treatment outcomes and quality of life for patients with thoracic cancers, such as lung and esophageal cancer. I combine clinical experience in medical and radiation oncology with epidemiological expertise to tackle complex, real-world problems. My research focuses on optimizing radiotherapy through advanced techniques like proton (arc) therapy, understanding and mitigating cardiotoxicity, and developing predictive models to personalize treatment. What excites me most is translating data into meaningful clinical improvements, ensuring that innovations reach the patients who need them most.
