The Academic Startup Competition is an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, Techleap, Universities of the Netherlands, and the NFU. This year, no less than seven startups from the UG and the UMCG made it to the top 40: IMChip, Fused Button Battery Holding, Powerchainger, MimeCure, Bioprex Medical, Limosa Immunodiagnostics, and QT Sense. Last year, startups Sencilia and MemoryLab made it through.
