The project, titled "AI-Driven Approaches for Advanced Clinical and Neuropathological Research in the Netherlands Brain Bank," aims to apply state-of-the-art artificial intelligence models —including Large Language Models and advanced histopathology Semi Supervised Learning AI models—to transform the analysis of extensive medical records and microscopic neuropathological imaging data.

The project’s goal is to integrate AI with neuropathology, enabling large-scale processing and analysis of complex clinical data and histopathological images. By employing these innovative tools, we aim to enhance our understanding of brain disorders, link neuropathology and clinical disease trajectories to genetics.

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, in partnership with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, recognized the important potential of this work as part of their mission to support groundbreaking research in neuropathology. We are excited to contribute to the broader neuroscience community’s efforts to advance clinical and neuropathological research.
