My research focuses on developing individualized hemodynamic resuscitation for sepsis patients, as one-size-fits-all approaches can cause prolonged hypotension or fluid overload. I lead the FLUIDS study, the first trial within the Acutelines data biobank investigating stroke volume–guided resuscitation in the emergency department. By collecting clinical data and biomaterials, we aim to understand the mechanisms behind septic shock and its subtypes, identify point-of-care biomarkers, and develop targeted therapies to improve outcomes and support personalized sepsis care.
