Improving cancer treatment through research

 I am driven by a simple goal: to contribute to research that helps reduce the number of people who die from or suffer because of cancer. My research focuses on understanding and improving cancer treatment, with the hope of translating scientific discoveries into better outcomes for patients. My PhD project explores how proton therapy can be combined with immunotherapy to improve treatment for head-and-neck cancer. I am particularly interested in understanding how radiation interacts with the immune system, with the ultimate goal of developing more effective treatments while reducing harm to healthy tissues.
