As part of the department of Laboratory Medicine, we collaborate closely with laboratories within and beyond our department. We can therefore advise on biomarker analyses and logistics, but also support development of new analyses, and get you in touch with the relevant laboratory specialists.

Our services

  • We advise on analyses, sample workflow, specimen types, collection- and processing procedures, in relation to your analytes of interest.
  • We offer research kits, including labeled collection- and storage tubes.
  • We facilitate in creating biobank orders in Epic.
  • We collect (via ‘prikpoli’ and ‘prikronde’) biomaterials.
  • We process and store virtually all types of liquid biomaterials (ie blood, urine, CSF, feces, saliva, body fluids)
  • We isolate and store peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and plasma on behalf of cell-free DNA isolation (cfDNA plasma).
  • We (temporarily) store biomaterials at appropriate conditions and take care of the transfer to the central freezer facility (CVF) or shipment to other institutions or sponsors.
  • If desired, we register sample information in the biobank information management system (BIMS).
