This code is applicable to all staff engaged in research, including students, visiting faculty, administrative staff, management, and UMCG employees conducting research abroad. Therefore, everyone's expected to get acquainted with this code and, more importantly, to adhere to it.
The code is built on five key research integrity principles: Honesty, Scrupulousness, Transparency, Independence, and Responsibility. Furthermore, it elucidates pertinent legal and other obligations that must be adhered to.
