DHENN aims to improve healthcare in the Northern Netherlands. Many plans for digital healthcare innovations already exist.
Key areas
The program will help bring these plans into practice more quickly and effectively, focusing on three key areas:
- Testing and improving new ideas in collaboration with users;
- Demonstrating the value of innovations through expert validation;
- Guidance and support for innovations in navigating regulations and market access.
Projects
The DHENN program highlights the objective of closing the gap between concept and care. Two examples of potential projects include:
- Digital Skills for Patients : Focused on strengthening patients’ digital skills so they can more independently use digital healthcare applications such as patient portals, video consultations, and digital communication with healthcare providers.
- Digitization of the Social Domain and Positive Health: Helping citizens shift from treatment-based care to prevention and health promotion. For example, by providing accessible health information and user-friendly digital tools.
Consortium
The program is coordinated by UMCG and is a collaboration between Gerrit B.V., De Friesland, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, NHL Stenden, HANNN, Frisius MC, Zorg Innovatie Forum, Zorgbelang Groningen, PNO Consultants, 8D Games, Sfinx Games, De Jonge Consultancy, Inqubator, ExtraCura, XCap, Knowledge Center Northeast Friesland, and Innovation Pact Friesland.
