Motivation and affective disorder in decision-making

My research focuses on the affective disorders and motivation in decision-making. Specifically, I am interested in exploring its neural mechanisms and neuromodulation underlying these processes in individuals with apathy and anhedonia using advanced neuroimaging techniques, including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). A deeper understanding of why individuals fail to engage in motivated behavior could ultimately inform therapeutic approaches, offering new insights into how to foster motivation in daily life and work settings.
