Postdoctoral researcher

I fulfil a dual role in the Sibon lab. On one hand I am interested and involved in understanding the Coenzyme A biosynthesis pathway and the disease PKAN (Pantothenate Kinase-Associated Neurodegeneration), associated with loss of PANK2, the first enzyme of the CoA biosynthesis pathway. On the other hand I have a long history of working with Drosophila melanogaster (the fruit fly) as a model organism, and in that capacity I am also involved in other, non CoA related projects (such as North Sea Progressive Myoclonus Epilepsy, NS-PME), which require my expertise.
