I am a medical oncologist at the department of Medical Oncology at the UMCG, specialized in urogenital tumors, breast cancer, and patients with cancer of unknown primary. My research is focused on personalized medicine and molecular imaging. Using PET imaging with novel tracers, the characteristics of tumors can be captured and new insights in disease heterogeneity, and pharmacodynamic properties such as target engagement by therapies, can be obtained. This information can be used to optimize treatment decision-making, and to determine the optimal dose of novel drugs.
